I want to join my friend in modern warfare 2, the thing is he is using a pc and I’m using a ps3. Will it be able to connect?

no. PC players can only play with PC players online. Same goes with xbox and playstation. If you guys want to play online with each other, you would need to play on the same system,

No. Cross system play is not possible. If so, you would get raped by PC gamers.
