Has Modern Warfare 3 officially been announced?

I want to prove my friend wrong becuase hes saying i always lie. I saw on wikipedia that it said there a modern warfare 3 in development but my friend says tat u can believe what wiki says because anyone can edit it. So can someone link me to an official page saying something i can prove my friend wrong.

Nope, you happen to be wrong. There is Black Ops coming out soon though. But its not MW3

Well, anyone can edit Wikipedia, but if it’s too ridiculous then it will automatically be taken down, and without any resources to yuor information, then your post will automatically be taken down. So if it says Modern Warfare 3 is on there, then chances are it is real.
