Has there been any statement from Infinity Ward of Modern Warfare 3? Or any sequel to Modern Warfare 2?

Modern Warfare 3

It’d be pretty awesome. I myself enjoyed CoD 4:MW and Modern Warfare 2. I was wondering if IW issued any release of comment of Modern Warfare 3. Cause I think they left out a few major characters, and wondered if they would re-introduce them to the plot, like Nikolai from CoD4 or Sgt. Kamarov from CoD4. Anyways, if you can answer, it’s much obliged.

    yeah, inifinty ward isn’t making it though, sledgehammer games is and its going to be released in 2011, its just cod mw3

    There will be a Mw3 but the makers for the game have not yet been decided due to the fact that the game only came out bout 5 months ago, but IW is trying to get some other company to take over on the making of Mw2

    IW is currently not continuing the modern warfare series in the next installment.The seventh main installment of the series was leaked as being in production when David Kim, a senior animator at Treyarch, stated on a website “I am currently on my second title as a senior animator in the games industry with Activision / Treyarch on Call of Duty 7.” The game is rumored to be set during the Vietnam War with missions including the 1980′s sieging of the Iranian Embassy. Activision later confirmed that developer Treyarch was working on the next Call of Duty installment, set for release in Autumn of 2010. Numerous “undisclosed sources at Activision” have spoken of the game as being called ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops’.
