Question by Asker: How to get a tactical nuke in modern warfare 2?
I play Modern Warfare 2 on the PS3 and i’m finding it hard to get a tactical nuke. I have unlocked everything but with any combination of weapons perks and killstreaks, i just cant get the nuke. Please leave some tips and advice to help.

Well, you need to have the nuke as one of your killstreak rewards in order to get it, as care packages and emergency drops don’t contain them. They also don’t count towards your killstreak, so don’t use them. I’d use a Harrier or a pave-low, and an AC-130.

what you want to do is either stay a spot where you can kill with the m16 such as a bomb in demolition
or run around in buildings(not too crazily) with a sub in a map like favela but always stay alert or if you think your a decent sniper try to find a good spot and move every 2-3 kills especially if its the same person.
m16 with holographic with a shotgun is good
mp5 with silencer and shotgun is also good
my perks that i use on almost all of my classes are scavenger pro, stopping power pro, and commander pro
kill streaks are harrier, chopper gunner, nuke also pave low is good instead a harrier but requires 2 more kills which could result in getting the nuke or not.
chopper gunner is much easier to get kills from compared to ac130

For killstreaks use harrier, chopper gunner, nuke. This way, once you get 7 kills in a row, find a place to hide, call your harrier, wait for it to give you 4 kills, then use chopper gunner. Depending on the map, it will give you different kills. Most maps get you about 9, leaving you with 20 kill streak and 5 more to get on your own if you haven’t already. Chopper gunner on Afghan will get you about 20 to 30 kills. A good killstreak class is an assault rifle (any will do) with heartbeat sensor, ranger or 1887 akimbo, claymores, scavenger, stopping power or cold blooded, and any 3rd perk. Most of my killstreaks come from staying in a popular building (like on derail), getting kills from the windows, using claymores on the doors (scavenger gets you replenishable claymores), and using my heartbeat sensor to see when they’re coming so i can pull out my rangers so they don’t have a chance. This is THE most consistent way of getting a killstreak, though many other ways work.

Use whatever weapons you feel comfortable with.
For me, I would use the AK-47, UMP45, or the SCAR-H as my primary, and the akimbo model 1887 as my secondary.
Perks that I use:
Stopping Power Pro
Steady Aim Pro
Cold-Blooded Pro
Killstreaks:
Harrier
Chopper Gunner
Nuke
I advise you to not play free-for-all because even though it’s fun, it’s very hard to get a nuke.
When you are playing, don’t try to run and find the enemy. Wait for them to come to you. Don’t go into the heart of the map where everybody is, because that will just increase the possibility of you getting killed.
Stay on the outskirts of the map. Don’t stay in one spot though! If you keep on killing guys from the same place, then they will flank you and kill you from behind or snipe you (my point is that they will know where you are if you stay in the same place and kill them!). It is important that you keep on moving to different spots after you get (say around) 2 to 3 kills.
Once you get the harrier, the harrier will get you the chopper gunner, and the chopper gunner your nuke. Good Luck!
