I’m planning to sell my copy of Borderlands to help get some money to buy Modern Warfare 2.
The only problem is that many people tell me that Modern Warfare 2 is a huge lagfest on the computer. Is it, really? My computer is only a few months old, and I have an average internet connection. I really like the gameplay, but I just need to know if MW2 on the PC is really that laggy. Thanks guys!

Jesus, don’t sell a good game with replay value in order to get a disposable game!
It doesn’t matter how fast YOUR internet is. It’s how fast the HOST’S internet is. And how far away they are. And if they’re downloading things while hosting.
I’d say out of the time I’ve played it, maybe 6 out of 10 games have had noticeable lag. The game does a decent job of hiding it if you don’t know better. But then there are the obvious times where you run up behind someone and shoot them in the back of the head, only to have them spin around and you fall over dead. Then you see the kill cam and see that you never even fired a shot. You just ran up and stood there waiting to get your shit pushed in.
Then there are the scrotesacs who exploit the lag by using a speed glitch along with knives to basically teleport 15-20 feet to instantly kill people. Or they use dual shotguns that kill in one shot from 50 feet away.
Honestly, the game really just isn’t worth the frustration. If you play enough to get any good, the flaws all come out to slap you in the face on a constant basis.

i never play any Call of Duty games on a computer i only play them on my 360, but yes i would say that it would be, because its so much easier to lag a computer then it is to lag a 360, but every once in a great while ill get into a game and a player will turn on the “lag switch”, so i think MW2 for the PC would be a waste of time a money

Yes unless your the host there is always atleast a little lag here and there… some matches are better than others. The game play is indeed fun though but honestly if i had it to do over i wouldn’t buy this game.
I’d recommend waiting for Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
