can you play 8 player call of duty, modern warfare 2, if you have 2 ps3′s and a lan-line connection?

Me and my friends are going to get together and play MW2, we want to play an 8 player multiplayer game, but we dont know how. I think that maybe we could if we get two ps3′s and have a lan-lin connection to our ps3′s, would this work?
