I’m trying to figure-out if I should start listening to music while playing Modern Warfare 2. And if so, what music I should choose.

honestly it depends on your mood it shows that if someone is pissed they should listen to heavy rock while playing or something that kicks ass first and takes names later, while your calm and winning all your matches you should put on something calming and soothing. if you feel in a owning mood put on nature sounds hey i do it all the time and i own ……. so what ever mood your in pick a music to match it

whatever kind of music moves you. If it gets you pumped/in the zone, listen to it. It’ll help you concentrate better if you like it, more than any song someone suggests that you don’t like. But if you do listen to it, dont put it on REALLY LOUD. the sound effects in the game are there for a reason, and they can help you in multiplayer alot.

Don’t listen to music. This game lets you hear peoples footsteps, and other sounds for a reason. If you have surround sound you can hear what “direction” gunshots are coming from. That way you can strategize an attack.. You don’t know how many times I’ve gotten kills because i “heard” something from the games sound effects.
No MUSIC is going to make up better at the game. Don’t be lame.

Most people I’ve encountered who were listening to music(Thanks for leaving mic on while blaring metal, guys. It’s alright. It sounds just as good through fuzzy PSN bluetooth networks), were, in fact, listening to metal or grunge. Anything of the sort really.
I however, think that metal and rock puts me on edge to much while playing. Any little movement requires a shot, then, and you do the most reckless things, caught up in your own little world, like running across open areas, or pursuing every single person until one of you is dead. It just clouds your thinking.
What I listen to is smooth Philharmonic jazz, or even the Beatles. That music clears my head, and usually rack up the kills. It doesn’t demand your attention, like metal, but rather says,”Go on. Do what you need to do. I’m just here to keep you company,”.
One of my major gripes with music in this in general, is that it isn’t really allowed at all. you cannot access your own music from your system. You have to use an iPod or exterior source.
