I recently got mw3 and I would like to know the difference between black ops and mw3.

Mw3, has better guns
Mw3 has differnet map..Black ops are better

i don’t think they changed anything except the campaign. Black Ops is supposed to take place during the Cold War and MW3 is about WWIII. i know that a lot of people complain about call of duty because the games are the same thing over and over again :p

BlaCK OPS = zombies
mw3=survival
mw3, has strike packages for killstreaks, you can die and still have your killstreaks.
black ops, has Tomahawks while mw3 has tac knife, if you didnt want to get that specific you should’ve said.
Mw3, has Aa level rank up to 80 level
Black Ops, 50
Mw3, has Spec Ops missions
Black Ops, None
Mw3, has a gun ranking system
Black ops, doesn’t have one
Black Ops, Let’s you customize your emblem
Mw3, Has Title anD Emblem, but emblem isn’t customizable.

biggest difference: ZOMBIES!
there are no zombie maps in mw3, because its treyarchs
but there is special ops where you can co op with a friend and survive waves of baddies (not zombies) and purchase equipment
also many say the graphics are better in mw3, that just depends on who you ask
another difference is guns level up and the higher you level up your gun and more attachments and camo you use unlike black ops where you can buy the gun when you get to a certain level and purchase any attachment as long as you have the money/points for it.
another difference i feel is that sniping is easier in mw3
the ak47 is weaker in mw3
and well the perks/kill streaks/death streaks(only in mw3) are all different as well with very little similarities
