Actually, due to a legal dispute between the game’s publisher Activision and the former co-executives of Infinity Ward – which caused several lay-offs and departures within the company – Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software are assisting development of the project. On January 20, 2011, the LA Times reported that the next game would be Modern Warfare 3, and that it was set to be released in November 2011.

They wanted to change the game and a arguement kicked off so they are still in it and treyarch have nothing to do with it there is a new company doing it they say there changeing the way the game is played hope that helped bro
