I am planning to buy the call of duty duty 5 on Wii Version, and I really want to know how online multiplayer work?
If I invite my buddies to come over at my house to play, can we play at the same time online against other player on the net?

you can’t play against your friends on the same wii console, you can only play aginst friends through different wii consoles.
you can play agianst other random players with your friends online.

Well, first, I would advise you to get it, it’s a great game for the Wii.
Online multiplayer is basically just playing online through Wi-Fi access or Wired connection. You will not be able to play together with your buddies on 1 console, so that kinda sucks.

First of all call of duty 5 sucks on wii its better for x box 360 and ps3 second you can either play only online or with friends but u can get bad connection online and it will freeze up and stuff.

Basically, the online mode is idiot proof.
You choose the game mode you want to play (for example ‘Team Death match’) And the server will put you into a game.
You can only have one person playing the game on at a time.
There is no split screen action on or off line.
That doesn’t mean it isn’t fun. I’ve been playing it for a little too long because I enjoy it alot
