I don’t believe that Call Of Duty Elite has anything to do with changing the DLC release date. To my knowledge, Xbox still gets map packs earlier.

    COD ELITE:
-xbox: get free DLC every month
-ps3: get free DLC every month, but one month later than xbox (so you wont get anything the first month)

    COD without ELITE:
-xbox: pay to get DLC every two months
-ps3: pay to get DLC every two months but one month later than xbox

  2. Tyler Says:

Xbox 360 still gets all DLC one month before PS3. With CoD Elite, Premium members will get DLC before Free members or non CoD Elite members.

Example: Xbox 360 gets DLC before PS3. Xbox 360 with CoD Elite Premium gets DLC before Xbox 360 with CoD Elite Free or no CoD Elite.

  3. A Random Dude Says:

Microsoft has some special relationship with Activision regarding COD i guess. That’s why PS3 gets COD DLC a month after Xbox does. Some game devs/publishers favor one console over another. For example, Xbox 360 can be seen as the main console for COD games, PC for Battlefield 3, and PS3 for Assassin’s Creed games.

  4. Sonya Says:

Actually, it was revealed earlier that Activision and Microsoft has a three-year tie up agreement. And this means, Xbox 360 players will receive the first DLC for MW3 (similar with Black Ops), a couple of weeks later.

With COD Elite, its all about making the price of all MW3 map-packs into one payment of 50 bucks — instead of $ 15 each (non-elite members) which is more expensive. It doesn’t have anything to do with MW3 DLC release.
